Trinity Sunday
Readings for the universal ChurchGeneral Roman Calendar, used by Catholics worldwide
First Reading
4He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; then Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets. 5The LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the LORD’s name. 6The LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, “The LORD! The LORD, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,
8Moses hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. 9He said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go among us, even though this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”
Responsorial Psalm
52“Blessed are you, O Lord, you God of our fathers, to be praised and exalted above all forever!
53Blessed is your glorious and holy name, to be praised and exalted above all forever!
54Blessed are you in the temple of your holy glory, to be praised and glorified above all forever!
55Blessed are you who see the depths and sit upon the cherubim, to be praised and exalted above all forever.
56Blessed are you on the throne of your kingdom, to be praised and extolled above all forever!
Second Reading
11Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. 12Greet one another with a holy kiss. 13All the saints greet you.
Gospel
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 18He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
