Pope Honorius III

Honorius III gave the Church three great religious orders. He approved the Order of Preachers of Saint Dominic in 1216, the final Rule of Saint Francis in 1223, and the Carmelite Rule in 1226. A gentle and careful administrator, he crowned Frederick II as Emperor in 1220.
