First Reading
This passage is numbered differently in the Douay-Rheims, so it can’t be shown verse by verse here. Read the chapter, or see the reading at USCCB.
Responsorial Psalm
5Gather ye together his saints to him: who set his covenant before sacrifices.
6And the heavens shall declare his justice: for God is judge.
7Hear, O my people, and I will speak: O Israel, and I will testify to thee: I am God, thy God.
8I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices: and thy burnt offerings are always in my sight.
14Offer to God the sacrifice of praise: and pay thy vows to the most High.
23The sacrifice of praise shall glorify me: and there is the way by which I will shew him the salvation of God.
Gospel
28And Peter began to say unto him: Behold, we have left all things, and have followed thee. 29Jesus answering, said: Amen I say to you, there is no man who hath left house or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, 30Who shall not receive an hundred times as much, now in this time; houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions: and in the world to come life everlasting. 31But many that are first, shall be last: and the last, first.
