First Reading
This passage is numbered differently in the Catholic Public Domain Version, so it can’t be shown verse by verse here. Read the chapter, or see the reading at USCCB.
Responsorial Psalm
5Gather his holy ones to him, you who order his covenant above sacrifices.
6And the heavens will announce his justice. For God is the judge.
7Listen, my people, and I will speak. Listen, Israel, and I will testify for you. I am God, your God.
8I will not reprove you for your sacrifices. Moreover, your holocausts are ever in my sight.
14Offer to God the sacrifice of praise, and pay your vows to the Most High.
23The sacrifice of praise will honor me. And in that place is the journey by which I will reveal to him the salvation of God.
Gospel
28And Peter began to say to him, “Behold, we have left all things and have followed you.” 29In response, Jesus said: “Amen I say to you, There is no one who has left behind house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or land, for my sake and for the Gospel, 30who will not receive one hundred times as much, now in this time: houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and land, with persecutions, and in the future age eternal life. 31But many of the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.”
